FAQ

What forms of payment are accepted at B&L Trailers?
We accept cash and all major credit cards. We DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS, no exceptions, not even cashier's checks.
Do you offer on the lot financing?
We do not offer in-house financing, however, we have and will work with different third party lenders and are happy to assist with the approval process (ie: provide an estimate).
We have also partnered with Trailer Solutions Financial who offer competitve rates and easy approval.
You can easily apply here.
What if I don't like my trailer after I buy it?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, so we encourage you to ask any and all questions before making a trailer purchase with us, as we do NOT offer refunds, returns or exchanges for any reason. All sales are final.
Do you trade?
Sorry, we do not. We do not sell used trailers.
Does my new trailer come with a warranty?
Our trailers come with a limited manufacturer's warranty on the axle and the tires only.
Click the "tires" link for warranty information.
Do your trailers come with titles?
Yes, all of our trailers come with the proper documentation to register it in all 50 states plus the District.
At the time of purchase, you will receive a bill of sale and notarized Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin - these 2 items are required by the DMV to properly register your new trailer.
What about inspections?
We sell trailers to customers residing in various states. The laws regarding trailer inspections vary from state to state. It is your responsibility, as a consumer, to know and understand the trailer laws of the state in which you plan to register your trailer. If your state requires a trailer inspection, it will be up to you to have that completed.
Why a dovetail?
We offer flat and dovetail options on most all of our trailers. Dovetails, also known as beaver tails, are popular because the load angle is not as steep, making the trailer easier and safer to load. On the utility trailers, the dovetail causes a shorter gate that reduces wind resistance making the trailer easier to tow. Picture to the right shows dovetail and flat side by side for comparison.
Why can't I see your inventory online?
We are busy selling trailers and talking to customers and just can't be on the internet all day. Our trailers tend to sell quickly between our locations that it is difficult to maintain real time inventory on our website. You are always welcome to come out and take a look at what we do have; however, if you are driving a distance for something specific, it is always best to call or send a quick text to make sure we have it on the lot.
What's the deal with the breakaway?
The breakaway system is a safety feature that is designed to bring the trailer to a stop by activating the electric brakes on the trailer, should the trailer be disconnected from the tow vehicle while driving. A breakaway system is NOT required in all states. For example, the state of NC does NOT require a breakway system at all, however, the state of VA does on dual axle trailers.
We cannot stress enough the importance of knowing the trailer rules and regulations of the state in which you plan to register your trailer.
I lost my paperwork, now what?
We can help, but it will cost you! We can replace lost MCOs and/or Bill of Sales for a fee of $150, in of which is taken up front and is non-refundable; once we start the process of getting your new paperwork, we cannot stop or reverse the process. Hold on to your big brown envelope!
